The Johannesburg Convention Bureau (JCB) acts as a ‘one-stop solution’ for independent information and assistance, giving neutral advice on all aspects of hosting and organising Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) in Johannesburg. Furthermore, the role of JCB is to maintain sustained growth of the number of business events/MICE attracted to the destination. Meeting and incentive planners will have ease of access to information they require on the destination, simplifying their processes and making turnaround time significantly quicker.
JCB helps MICE planners who are considering Johannesburg as their next destination for business events. JCB also provides support at every level, using internal expertise, strategic planning, and destination knowledge to ensure that, MICE activities in Johannesburg are memorable for delegates and hassle-free.
The fundamental mandate is to support and/or bid for business events that are intended to contribute towards achieving economic growth and reduce unemployment for the City of Johannesburg. Attracting MICE to the City of Johannesburg will contribute towards achieving this milestone. Bidding is primarily for association meetings which rotate internationally as well as regionally (Africa) and nationally (South Africa).
