Chancellor House

Chancellor House, located at 25 Fox Street, Ferreirasdorp, Johannesburg, is a historic law office building that once housed Mandela & Tambo Attorneys, South Africa’s first Black-owned law firm, founded by Nelson Mandela and Oliver Tambo in 1952. The firm provided legal assistance to Black South Africans during the oppressive apartheid era. Today, Chancellor House stands as a provincial heritage site, serving as a memorial to the struggle for justice and equality, with restored office spaces and exhibits honouring its legacy.
