Melville Koppes Central Nature Reserve and Joburg Heritage Site Hiking/Walking tours

Melville Koppies Central Nature Reserve, a Johannesburg City Heritage Site, offers a scenic and historically fascinating hiking experience. Every Sunday morning (except Christmas and New Year), visitors can explore the reserve at their own pace, with entry from 8 AM to 11:30 AM. All proceeds from admission fees are used to support the maintenance of the Koppies by a dedicated volunteer committee. Guests receive a map and informative boards along the trails provide insights into the reserve’s heritage. For a more in-depth experience, guided tours for small groups are available.
