Museum Africa

Museum Africa

Museum Africa, located in the heart of the Newtown Cultural Precinct, is Johannesburg’s premier history museum. Housed in a historic fruit and vegetable market built in 1913, the building itself stands as a testament to early 20th-century industrial advancements. Today, the museum offers a rich exploration of South Africa’s heritage, featuring exhibits that delve into the country’s social, political and cultural evolution.
