The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre

The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre

The Johannesburg Holocaust & Genocide Centre (JHGC) is a powerful space dedicated to remembrance, education and reflection. It examines the history of genocide in the 20th century, focusing on key case studies such as the Holocaust and the 1994 genocide in Rwanda. Through thought-provoking exhibitions, educational programmes and public dialogues, the Centre encourages visitors to confront the consequences of prejudice, discrimination and intolerance, fostering a deeper understanding of human rights and the importance of preventing mass atrocities.
